Hi.

Welcome! I’m Catherine. For me, it's important to stretch my mind, travel far, and always have a stash of dark chocolate.

Festival Style / / Kimono? Ki-mo-YES! When Jordan came back from London, he arrived bearing gifts. Jordan loves giving presents -- it's one of the ways he expresses love to those close to him. Gift giving is one of the five love languages outlined in the popular book The Five Love Languages. Have you read it? I highly recommend it, not only for relating to your partner, but anyone close to you. It took me awhile to realize that Jordan was a gift giver and a good one at that!

Jordan purchased this Topshop kimono in London. I've worn it a few different ways, but this particular look was inspired by our upcoming attendance to Pitchfork Music Festival -- which I'll talk about more next week!

Kimonos are extremely versatile -- they are the warm weather cardigan. I like feeling prepared, so I rarely leave the house without my tote bag (my collection is growing steadily. Haha.). You can easily store a kimono in your bag, so when the sun goes down you have an extra layer handy.

^When attending a music festival, it's important to check the local weather reports. It rains A LOT in Chicago during the summers, so I knew the only shoes I'd be wearing were my Saltwaters Sandals. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about Saltwaters!
