Hi.

Welcome! I’m Catherine. For me, it's important to stretch my mind, travel far, and always have a stash of dark chocolate.

Currently / / July

July Well, I did it. I made it to July! Baby boy's birth month! I have so many thoughts swirling in my head, it's hard to know where to begin. Despite this pregnancy being very intentional, I still find myself feeling overwhelmed by all of the last-minute details. I'm doing my best to have our bases covered, but it's difficult knowing what one really will needs!

Let's dive in to July...

Toasting | I will be toasting us at the end of July. Pregnancy is no joke, piece of cake, walk around the block or any number of idioms, but it's also been a true privilege and honor. I'm proud of myself for making it to the end (especially in this heat) and I'm humbled by Jordan's ability to pick up the extra slack. He works extremely hard and still takes the time to paint and assemble all of our new baby gear.

Going | We had a rather full weekend, but soon we'll be secluded for a bit so I welcomed the chances to get out. Jordan and I might be crazy but we bought tickets to the Flight of The Conchords tour and the date is 6 days shy of my due date. Now, if baby Short really wants to come early, we'll welcome him with open arms, but we'd also love to attend this concert! HA.

Smelling | The grill. We have a shared grill and all of the units in our building look out onto the pool and deck, so anytime someone is grilling the smells waft the whole place!

Wearing | Breezy dresses and flip-flops. My feet are swollen all of the time, so even my trusty Saltwater Sandals won't fit anymore!

Wishlisting | Birkenstocks, a New York City trip and Turkish rugs on Ebay.
