Hi.

Welcome! I’m Catherine. For me, it's important to stretch my mind, travel far, and always have a stash of dark chocolate.

I couldn't resist sharing several photos from Halloween. Phoenix went trick-or-treating as Daniel Tiger. The red hoodie Phoenix is wearing was actually my brothers! The red shoes are Cat & Jack from Target. Phoenix quickly got the hang of walking up the steps and going straight to the candy basket. I didn't exactly know how the night would go, but minus the car ride home Phoenix had no meltdowns! And he stayed up two hours past his bedtime.

I'm continually amazed with this kid.

Jordan and I both had work this weekend, but we still found a little time to catch up on Stranger Things 2. Are you watching it? We still have three episodes left. I realized a rewatch of season one would have been helpful -- I forgot a lot of little details.

Onto the links, but first a few photos.

Creamy Pumpkin Marinara | I made a huge mistake. I didn't stock up on Trader Joe's Autumnal Pasta Sauce before they ran out! Thankfully, Kate recreated her own version! And, unlike TJ's, this one is can easily be made dairy-free by using a butter alternative. I haven't made it yet, but Kate's recipes never disappoint.

How to Style Hunter Boots for Fall | I truly believe everyone should own a pair of Hunter rainboots. I bought my pair nearly seven years ago and they still look great. I've considered purchasing their short version to wear in the summer months.

Lorac Mega PRO Palette 4 | After watching a ton of YouTube tutorials, I took the plunge and purchased an eyeshadow palette. My eyeshadow skills aren't great, but as a glasses wearer I wanted a way for my eyes to standout more. All of the shadows are easy to blend and I'm excited to experiment more.

Sensory Bin Ideas | I was watching Mandi's Instastory the other day and she talked about a sensory bin activity her son loved. While, I don't believe children need perfectly curated activities to thrive (something as simple as sorting laundry is stimulating too!) I like the idea of creating rainy day activities ahead of time.
