Well, hey there friends! It's been a minute, hasn't it? Some of you may know this, but if you didn't, my site was hacked sometime in the spring. After many months of not really knowing what to do about the problem (and at times wondering if I should just leave this all behind) I moved my blog from Wordpress to Squarespace. The switch seems to have done the trick. Please be patient as I slowly reformat my old posts.
In all honesty, I needed the break. I've had this little space of the internet for over five years and even casual blogging takes time. Time I needed to spend elsewhere. Of course, once I no longer could post, I all of sudden really missed sharing and storing memories. Phoenix is growing fast.
We've had a busy summer. Phoenix and I visited family in Chicago and Michigan in early June. I am working more (though some from home!). Jordan and I went away for the first time without Phoenix (outside of a one-night venture last summer) to New York City (more to come on that trip). I went on my first of two girl's weekends. Jordan's work is keeping him busy, but we are thankful for a thriving business! And most exciting of all, Phoenix turned two last Friday.
following | I decided to join Lee's Summer 10x10 style Challenge over on Instagram. It's been fun to follow along with the other participants. Even though I like fashion and clothes, I can lean toward basic, so this has been a good experiment.
ordering | I recently started listening to the podcast, "ask a clean person" which is also a column on deadspin. I ordered the the the host's, Jolie Kerr, book, My Boyfriend Barfed in My Handbag...and Other Things You Can't Ask Martha. I don't think of myself as a great cleaner, which is exactly why I'm loving this podcast. I've already looked several tips and tricks. Like did you know dryer sheets can be used to clean your glass shower doors?
pinning | Pancake recipes. Does anyone have an absolute favorite? Pancakes (or cake-cakes) are Phoenix's favorite right now.
watching | Jordan and I recently finished the second season of The Handmaid's Tale. I'm making a conscious choice to spend less time watching TV (and more time reading), but I also hate wasting time finding something to watch when I feel like a little distraction. SO, since I'm reading Book 1 of the Outlander series I am sporadically watching season 1.
Has anyone read the series? I didn't realize how big the books were!
counting | To two a lot since Phoenix's birthday!
