On Traveling Without our Kid For The First Time
Drinking complimentary cocktails while reading on the plane. Staying up way too late each night because a little somebody won't need our attention in the morning. Ordering dessert from room service at 11 pm. Not sharing meals. Visiting museums without fear that our child will scream for a snack in the middle of an exhibit. Leaving the hotel with one bag. Not planning around nap or bedtimes.
Constantly saying to one another, "Phoenix would love this."
Jordan and I went to New York City in July to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We don't get to go on date-nights very often, so we really lived up our time away. From seeing concerts to walking through The Met to sitting on park benches eating black and white cookies. And while we do enjoy traveling with Phoenix, it was extra special being without him.
We felt refreshed and ready to celebrate our two-year-old once we landed.
